While a conventional full-jaw reconstruction typically requires 5–10 implants per jaw, the All-on-4 method uses only four.
A major advantage of the All-on-4 method is the reduced treatment time. A temporary bridge can be attached immediately after implant placement, instead of the patient having to wait six months or longer for healing, as is the case with traditional implant methods. In most cases, the temporary bridge is placed on the same day as the surgical procedure, while the permanent fixed titanium–acrylic bridge is installed several months later.
